The 2nd Installment in the Miss Percy series, the crew are travelling to Wales to try and find somewhere Fitz can live in peace. However travelling with a dragon isn't so easy!

This is definitely cozy! We return to the same cast of characters, overall this just didn't grab me! I think it was a combination of plot, length and characterization.

I just got a bit tired of Mildred being so weepy? spineless? There just didn't seem like there was much character growth there. The bulk of the book is them taken up by travelling which then means there really isn't much time on the meat of the plot. I also got a bit tired of the writing style, such long paragraphs of quaint description (clearly meant to sound like Jane Austen)

Spoileralso she basically grazes her arm?? And faints?? why not just have her sprain her ankle or something??

+the adventure continues
+Mildred, the soft adventurer, that is afraid of ladders
+narator breaking the fourth wall
- some parts were a bit predictible: Nyth y Ddra; also I felt like they were able to find Nyth y Ddraig a bit to easily.

This has been one of my most eagerly anticipated sequels, and it did not disappoint! There were definitely more adventures in this book, and I loved reading them. The characters are just as lovable as ever, and I love how Fitz and Mildred’s bond grows.

Although the pace has picked up in this sequel, it is still quite a slow, meandering tale of getting from A to B.
A cozy fantasy with mostly low stakes. A no spice slow burn romance that feels coincidental.
I think this is where my journey in this series ends. It left me with no real reason to want to know what happens next.
Cute, caring and warm, but leaves little behind to miss.
