the pacing of this book was all over the place... 40% for the main characters to meet but then apparently conversations and events were completely skipped or glossed over. i was bored and annoyed 90% of the time unfortunately

Sloan makes a deal to be Krupin's mob doctor in order to pay off her father's enormous debt. While working for him she meets Snow, an underground boxer.
This one was slightly better than the first. The story line at least made more sense.
Sloan was willing to give up her future to save her ungrateful parents. She was naive and sheltered from the reality of her family's situation. She "protected" her family by throwing herself to the wolves. Stupid or brave?
Snow was a boxer with a soft side for Sloan and a cat. That was about as interesting as he got. Both of these characters were pretty flat. I wasn't invested in their relationship at all as it was very Insta-love.

The relationship feels very under developed. They meet and from absolutely nothing have a random connection, then they fuck, and suddenly they are in love??
