Instructor and rescuer, James Franklin, loses a person in an avalanche after rescuing her friend. Not coping well with the loss, James is given some time off from his job to get his head together. He goes to his mountain cabin and is caught in another avalanche. Maybe two or three of them…one is with his emotions. The other is with snow.
Nicole is an actress on a movie set in the same mountains James is in. She, her stylist and her manager stayed a little too late at the set running lines. As darkness settles, the snow gets heavier. Lost in the dark and the snow, Nicole spots a light in the distance and they all head toward it. The door to the cabin opens and there stands the man she plowed into at the lodge the day before.
With the heavy snow and darkness, James has no alternative but to let the three stay with him and his friend until the blizzard stops.
Will love break down the barriers that James and Nicole have put up around them? Can James get over the death of the girl in the mountains? Can Nicole set her mind and do what she wants to do?
