How amazing is it to have a Harley Quinn story that doesn't have her playing a weak second fiddle to a man? Sure, the villain was a little weak and a follow-up to the classic Batman vs. Joker story that doesn't center either character is tough to pull off, but this does it so well! I'm excited to read whatever is next in the Murphyverse.

Technically, I'm not supposed to have read this. Only later did I find out that this was a sequel to an alternative reality for Batman that I can only describe as a very tense world. Everyone in it seems to have so much pressure to be happy or do what they think is right, and it sometimes works in favour of the story and doesn't. Maybe because I read the last volume (No, definitely because I read the last volume), but sometimes I got stressed reading it because everyone was moving around, trying to keep up peace.

Regardless, as a Harley Quinn book, it's one of the best ones I've read. Instead of her being swayed and manipulated, she willingly and knowingly does crimes to help the Joker and "fix" him. It shows a different side to their abusive relationship than trying to "fix" your partner only causes you pain and misery that Harley know has to deal with.

She even has a strange and unique relationship with Bruce. It's the type of thing where the only way I could describe is the phrase, "More than friends, less than lovers," because, besides one panel, you don't know if Harley or Bruce love one another in that way.

The only major flaw of this comic is the plot. It's pretty dull and it's only there to wrap up this series, and have an in-depth look into Harley Quinn's character. Other than that, it's a pretty good comic that I should read the other ones to fully understand this story.

I enjoyed this side of Harley so much

I loved the storyline and seeing her relationship with Bruce. It was so sweet and at times had me wondering if there was something more there. I also thought the additional insight to her relationship with Jack/joker was really interesting

my first DC comic! onto the next

Not a fan of the artwork, but the story was interesting; I guess, I missing lots of pieces though…
