Jasmine's brother is called Jojo by the family but has a full name of Jonathan. The author really needed to choose ONE name for Jasmine to use when she thinks of her brother, using both in the same paragraph or even sentence after the first introduction was confusing and unnecessary.
When I think of a friend of family member with a nickname that is the name I use.
There were a few things like that, that got repeated over and over again that did not need the repetition at all.
Also two of Jasmine's siblings are throwaway characters with little to no reason for existing other than to say she is the youngest of five. The other two had more screentime but would have been nice if their characters were developed more.
The same goes for Ivan's sister, she is mention several times but isn't really relevant to the plot or character development other than she exists.
There were also a lot of spelling and formatting errors in my Indigo printed copy.
One very small and completely unneeded, and not well placed sex scene that just felt like an add in because "oh wait I wrote a romance they need to have sex don't they?".
People said it was a spicy romance...there is no spice.
The story itself kind of dragged, a lot of training montages with no real climatic greatness, and the ending, even with the epilogue, felt unsatisfying.
Timeline was a bit messy.
I was hoping for something a bit more like "Blades of Glory" or "The Cutting Edge".

Dominant
Kracht ondermijnend
Spicy time

They had the best banter I have ever read about that genuinely made me laugh out loud so often and I loved Ivan as a person as well as Jasmine and her whole family.
The only two things that didn't make this book perfect were for one the language which was sooo heavy on cuss words that it started to annoy me to read "f**king" in every sentence like three times and for the other I love slow burn romances, I really do. But them kissing only after so many pages? And the end then feeling sooo rushed? I'm crying
None the less the lead up was great, I didn't get bored for a single moment and I enjoyed the ice skating aspect a lot. I'm really looking forward to read a lot more MZ books!

“I took a step onto the ice and glided off just a couple feet away to give IVAN room to do the same. He followed after me, stopping just two feet away from me as the announcer called out our names. That was when I looked over my shoulder at THE MAN IN THE BROWN AND GOLD COSTUME that my sister had created, and found him already looking at me, with a smirk aimed right at me.”
““She was pinching me under the table,” BEN let me know, like that would surprise me. It didn’t. That was my mom right there. My defender forever and ever. “Sorry about that, Jas,” MY MOM’S FOURTH HUSBAND murmured.”
““Where’s Ben at, MOM?” “He’s out with his friends,” THE REDHEADED WOMAN WHO HAD GIVEN BIRTH TO ME, explained quickly before raising her gaze and aiming her fork in my direction.”
There were points where it truly confused me because I couldn’t even tell the author was talking about the same character. “The man” is used 30 times in the book and “the woman” 37 times, most often for characters that are already very well established. It’s confusing.
