Sure, it's understandable that you don't want to spend quality time with a boring individual, but is eliminating a bore from society a defense for murder? The question becomes more intriguing when Hamish MacBeth is surprised by the number of suspects he must consider in solving the mystery.

Review - I loved the interaction between Hamish Macbeth and Elspeth Grant. I still hate Blair and Jimmy Anderson because they just seem determined to never change and keep manipulating Hamish. I was a little disappointed in this mystery because I felt that it dragged along a little, and there were so many possibilities for the murder that there were far too many to really understand what was going on.

I like this series but I can't help but bristle when Hamish calls Elspeth a bitch. It makes me kind of hate him.

book was better than the show (which I saw I read the book). It wasn't too exciting but the show ruined it because the character didn't fit
