"With no memory of who she is or where she came from, Jane Whittaker exists in a vacuum--where all that remains is a stranger who claims to be her husband, whispered rumors of a dead child, and the premonition that something horrible is aboout to happen." (From Amazon)

I usually do not buy amnesia storylines but this one had me gripped from the beginning. This book is a read through the night type of novel so be forewarned.

I read this book long before I started blogging or using Goodreads, but I remember that I really, really enjoyed this.

Sharon, I forgot I read this. Boy, I remember it grabbing me on page 1. I'm stingy giving out 5 stars, but would give this 4.5!

Book was pretty good but I felt like it went on too long.
Kind of repetitive but I finished it.

3.5/5 stars. While I enjoyed the storyline, and I didn't see the plot twist coming, I found the writing to be uneven. For the most part, the dialogue was fine, but the prose was often awkward and unbelievable. I disliked how Fielding had Jane talking out loud to herself all the time, and I found I would often skim over the prose because it was so clunky it distracted from the story. The book had the potential to be 4+ stars, so it is a little disappointing that it didn't get there. I will try another by Fielding.
