Look, I could spend all day raving about this book but to make it succinct and short, I love Crier with all my heart and I love Ayla and I fracking hate Kinok. I’ll say it: Kinok blackmailing Crier? Homophobia.
Crier is the absolute sweetest character; she is so soft, wants to do good, wants to become a good leader. And Ayla? Ayla wants revenge for everything that the Automae have done against her. (THEORY ALERT: I’m like 95% certain that Yora is still alive).
I can’t believe that Nina Varela wrote such a fantastic book!! I just love these characters so much.
There are some spots that I definitely need to reread, given that they weren’t quite coherent, but this is definitely a book I’ll be buying.
