don't know if it was the writing or the fact that I was somewhat distracted while reading this one, but it just didn't hit as hard as the last few. This is blue lock, so obviously it was a good read with amazing visuals, but I wasn't as entertained as I was with the previous one (tho I think that's bc I love chaos, and this volume, unlike the other one, is pretty tame and straight-forward). Barou coming in to play was great, his plays were really fun and engaging, but that's about it. Felt more like build up for the final play in the next volume tbh.
