TW: mention of rape and death by fire.

I finally was able to finish the novella after a long while. The McKay family has a sad backstory. Rory and Kat’s relationship pulled at my heartstrings, but they ending was interesting. It was cleverly done.

Side note: IDK how I would feel about by man’s being so gung-ho about me having a new body. I would definitely feel some type of way about it, even with him saying he loved her for her soul

Ughhhhhhh....the ending! HORRIBLE! Didn't care for it at all. This was not a good start to the second part of this Highland Magic series. Very flat characters in this one and I was really looking forward to Rory's story.

A short novella! I may have liked it more if I had read the spin off series? I will be trying the next one since I own it and they’re so short.

Highland romances are very meh for me so 3 stars isn’t bad for me!
