For fans of alternate military history. Requires accepting several non-related changes to history, along with unexpected and poorly explained engineering developments which are quite a distance from the cultures involved. I found the combination of these a bit difficult to accept at times.
A better than average read if you like the genre - interesting, entertaining and well-paced. Story lines inter-mingle well and there are not so many it is difficult to track.
