The world and plot makes no sense. A pretty blatant Mary Sue character with nothing going for her. I almost didn't finish this, but decided to power through it. Vampire bunnies, ugh.

Yet another book that I did not finish. To tell you the truth I only bought this book because of a hilarious review on Goodreads which contradicted my first thoughts when I first saw the cover and read the blurb. The reviewer said not to hold the cheesy cover against the book and that the book was not cheesy at all but everything she said was wrong.

The book started out okay even though the female lead is the gag-me too good to be real type of woman who is a hospice nurse who in her spare time takes care of her ailing grandmother. She finds a locket at an estate sale and magically finds herself in another world. That is where the story starts to suck big fanged bunnies…or little fanged bunnies like in the tale. She meets a fanged man wearing a top hat, a cross between Willy Wonka and Frank N Furter. He was so outrageous and fantastical that I couldn’t get into him at all.

The story reminded me of Alice in Wonderland which is one of my least favorite stories of all time.
I tried to force myself to read it because I paid good money for it but had to give up after a quarter of the book. It just was too fantastical and cheesy for me.

This was a pleasant surprise! Fantastic, intricate world building and a lovely daring duo. Very much looking forward to the next book in the series.

I loved the start but didn't enjoy the second half of the story as much.

Some things felt a little coincidental for my liking and I'm not a fan of love triangles just for the sake of adding some romantic drama - Casper wasn't really an option. I would have liked a little more development between the romantic relationship between Tish and Crim.

Probably won't be reading the next one.

I really wanted to like this book I would have given it a 5 for the last couple of chapters, the world was amazing little twist of being in Europe. I loved the idea of the story, my only issue was that sometimes the story would go bland and then it would be this amazing story telling before going back. I almost gave up on this book three times before deciding to finish it, the ending was amazing! I loved the humor and the romance between T & C was slow forming least one T's side. I related to her in some ways which I think helped with me enjoying the book at times. I would suggest this book to someone after all it has the steampunk vibes and romance with the touch of the all supernatural beings ect.

Finding it difficult to put into words what I thought of this story. I didn't read it all in one sitting, but it was more for lack of time rather than lack of interest - and also because I simply didn't want it to end. I didn't want Letitia to have to make a choice...although I knew in a heartbeat what my choice would be.

I loved the world of Sang and the similarities to our own. I'm sure everyone has said it more eloquently than I (so look at their reviews), but Delilah Dawson did an amazing job creating the world and characters - I'm looking forward to the next book!

It was ok, but I wouldn't go so far as to say that I liked it. It was "meh."

Points for uniqueness; the world was interesting and different, there were a lot of adventurous elements that I liked, but the male protagonist was sort of creepy and unappealing. There were some gross sex scenes (gross because they may have involved dead animals/blood) and there was a lack of supporting females that weren't evil/manipulative/violent. For what it is, it works, but more from a funny point of view than a romantic one.

Generally I enjoyed this book, though it was not something I would have picked up normally. I did find it to be amusing, which I think was the author's intention (otherwise why would she introduce Bludbunnies so early on?), so by reading it in that light I found it more enjoyable. I was rather annoyed with the love triangle set up in the novel. Somewhat close to the beginning Letitia has a vision that she will marry Crimney within a year, and if she can see the future, than why is she so interested in the musician? I was annoyed with every scene, honestly I just wanted them to move on.

Tish works as a nurse and one of her clients has passed away and they are having an estate sale. Tish goes to it and finds a pendant that she just must have. She steals that sucker and takes it home. Upon opening it a weird red liquid comes out and burns her skin and inside of it is a image of a guy. (You guys knew that was coming didn't you?)

That night when she goes to sleep she realizes that she is in a different world. One where Bludbunnies can bite.

She also is completely naked and that guy from the locket is standing in front of her. Come to find out he had an enchantment placed on the locket to bring him his true love. Tish is now in the land of Sang, which resembles her world back in America but there are some differences. Magic, clockworks, krakens and of course the bludmen. Turns out the guy that summoned her is a bludman named Criminy Stain. Bludmen resemble vampires only in the facts that they are hard to kill and they have that pesky little blood drinking problem.

Much of Sang is pretty bloodthirsty. There are bludbunnies, bludmares, bluddoes..you get the gist. Tish seems to settle in pretty good. Especially after she realizes that the musician in Criminy's circus like caravan is one of her clients from back home. Back home though he is pretty much a vegetable...in Sang he is hawt. Some of this made me roll my eyes if you can't tell.
Tish does have the ability to go to sleep in one world and be in the other..with the help of her trusty locket.

I didn't hate this book. I actually couldn't stop reading it once I started. It's like a jacked up version of Alice in Wonderland and somehow..it just works. Even with a love-triangle sorta and some insta-love. That Bludman Criminy? I'd bang him.

I read this one because the author is coming to a festival near me and I may have to fangirl..or not. It's on the maybe pile.

The reviews on this book from my friends on here are varied. I'm picking my friend Alkyoni's review to highlight this time. Her review is a fun look at this book.

Book world & concept - ★★★★★
Hero - ★★★★
Heroine - ★★, maybe - really more like 1 1/2 stars - I totally agree with everyone who shelved this book as idiot-heroine, 2-stupid-2-live, or some version of heroine-I-want-to-slap.
