Promosso e consigliato.

This trilogy has been such a blast to read, and while I've loved the other series that Brooke Blaine and Ella Frank have worked on together in the past, there was just something special about The Elite. In short, this trio of book lived up its name. This is also where I'm going to remind readers new to the series that the books need to be read in order--Danger Zone, Need for Speed, and Classified--because there is a continuing story with the same cast of characters led by United States Navy pilots Matteo Morgan (call sign: Solo) and Grant Hughes (call sign: Panther).
The pace was quick, the development on-point, the romance sweet and steamy, and the flying had me wishing I had a front-row seat to all the action. Matteo and Grant have come so far as both pilots and lovers, with realizations of just how committed they were to each other, followed only be their love of being in the cockpit. Naturally, getting to that happily-ever-after doesn't come easily, but I'm glad Blaine and Frank don't meander and add on unnecessary drama. I'm seriously going to miss our Solo and Panther. Le sigh. Five-plus stars for Classified. ♥

Finally we get the conclusion to Panther and Solo's story and it did not disappoint. :)
It picks up right where book 2 ended and let me tell you, I spent most of my time smiling as I was reading. I thought I couldn't fall in love with them any more than I did. The both of them together are explosive. There wasn't much drama which I am happy about, but what did happen, could have been avoided if there was communication., but I get why it went down the way it did :)
As we see them fall in love, you wonder what will happen when they're done. Will they stay together? I loved their friends and dare I say I liked Panther's dad too. :)
Even though I loved this book and all the feels, I wish there was more towards the ending of the epilogue. Don't get me wrong, it was great, but I wanted to see how that all play out :)

Elite was the best of the best pilots and Panther's dad acts like Grant found Solo out back behind the worst bar in town and is pissed off about it. Sir.

The best ending!! What a rollercoaster of a ride in fighter jets this story was. After all the turmoil, hiding and secrets, we finally get the best coming out party of the year. When graduation rolls around these guys both want the top spot, but it can only go to one of them, or can it? There is a lot of competition when it comes to the Navy Elite, throw in a Dad's idle warnings, and the teams pitted against each other adds for just enough angst.
Loved this trilogy!

Similar to the second book in the series, there wasn't a heck of a lot going on. It was fine and I was happy to see the characters get their HEA, but honestly I think the series could have just been one more tightly edited book.
