Very graphic at times which was hard to read but a great page turner meaning I couldn't put it down

DI Kelly is working on a cold case, the abduction and brutal murder of ten-year-old Lottie Davies along with a current case of an abandoned baby of an illegal immigrant, and the death of local businessman Colin Day. What Kelly does not realize is that they are all connected in ways that might shock the community.

A gritty police procedural Dark Game is an interesting start to DI Kelly Porter Series by Rachel Lynch. Looking forward to reading more in the series .

I would like to thank Canelo & NetGalley for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest and fair review

Good book overall, however there was a lot of sexual description which felt unnecessary at time. But enjoyed the fast pace.

Firstly I need to give kudos where kudos are due. This novel had a great, intricate plot that was very well woven together and well delivered.

My overall enthusiasm however waned after a very eager start. My main vexation being the way conversations, which there are many of, just didn’t seem to flow. They didn’t seem natural and deterred from a pretty great story.

Regardless, there is a ton of potential here and I am intrigued to see how both Kelly Porter and Rachel Lynch go from strength to strength.
