Not a good book to start reading when I was home alone for the weekend!

3-3.5. The first 1/3 of this book was very tense and spine-tingling, but then I feel like there was a drop in momentum afterwards. The story became something else and, even though there were some good parts in this aspect too, I lost a lot of the engagement. Still an enjoyable read overall, but wished that more of the tension had been preserved. The ending also felt too quickly developed (as well as quickly resolved).

I can’t believe this is the debut book by the author! It kept me at the edge of my seat on this journey, while continuing to keep me guessing at the direction we were going in. Excellent read!
