Entirely too short.

Gaiman tells an amazing story of childhood wonder and magic, but it's over far too soon.

The book mainly takes place in the eyes of a seven year old and the writing is done in such a wonderful way to capture that. Yet another Neil Gaiman book I have torn through and deeply enjoyed.

The Ocean at the End of the Lane sums up the memories of childhood, the memories of innocence, ignorance, adventure, terror, loneliness, loss and friendship. Gaiman beautifully captures the experiences and reflections of childhood allowing the reader relive the life of a seven year old. Being a shorter novel this book is perfect for that rainy day beginning when the rain begins and closing as the sun comes out. I highly recommend.
