Moves at a good pace and keeps the interest but ultimately it is about people who are being moved along by forces out of their control rather than influencing events. Some radical ideas on weak foundations, at times.

Loved it. An awesome romp as fun as Neuromancer. I wasn’t expecting it to be about on par, but definitely recommend if you liked Neuromancer.

(Second Read)

I think ultimately Gibson was *trying* with his inclusion of so many black and female characters with narrative significance; but sadly parts of this book are still an 80's nightmare of rac- and sexism.

I enjoyed the three plots, each unique in just about every way and picking up different aspects of the world left behind in 'Neuromancer'. I'd entirely forgotten about the Loa, and having learned more about Voodoo since my last reading, again loved that wildly creative jump.

A good read but the author's gender issues become ever more apparent...

gibson’s writing of women wasnt as bad in this book as in neuromancer, however the way he described black people did irk me a little

there were some really good parts, nice book overall, .25 extra points for the gorgeous cover on the brazilian version
