The third and last part of The Christmas Box.
Salt Lake City 1933. Unfortunately, the last book is my least favorite of the three. It's not Christmasy in my opinion. David and MaryAnne Parkin's story continues but in a very sad fashion. The life lessons are good - love and loss, but the overall vibe is a depressing one. I never gave a rating this low for any RPE Christmas story until this one.

I'm honestly not a huge Richard Paul Evans fan, but I loved this book! It was the perfect Christmas time read, even if it is a little cheesy.

This series is good as a whole, but very sad. Some memorable quotes in all the books. I rate this one a three because I feel like Maryann and David weren't the same people we were introduced to in the second book. For much of this book, Maryann is absent. I feel David should have went after her, but he seemed as if he didn't care. Sad ending and was not uplifting like Evans' other books.

This was my least favorite of this trilogy. I was expecting a Christmas book. Also, a lot of it was sad. There were good truths sprinkled throughout, and I like the way the author speaks of God in a real (instead of cheesy) way. However, it was a little too sad for me. I've loved some of his other books, though.

Well, it's a late bloomer, but it's already sinking into my heart, and I love it!

This is the final installment in the trilogy. This installment follows the Parkin family 20 years after the death of their daughter. I love the way the story unfolds. Evans is a great story teller.

I thought this book was a fitting last instalment to the "Christmas Box" series. Once again, it made me cry. Just as all the others did. I loved learning more about David and MaryAnne's relationship. Their love story will be relatable for so many who have endured hardships throughout their marriages. I enjoyed this entire series.
