Review for both books:

Audible plus, contemporary romantic suspense, cold, heartbroken FMC, single dad with hangups MMC, insta-attraction, mild spice

I really enjoyed this duet. I listened to the first book in a single day and the suspense elements along with the plot about two hurting people finding comfort in each other kept it moving. The second book wasn’t as fast paced as it was mainly dealing with the fallout of the first book - it was still good. I really liked how the MCs took turns caring for each other ma emotional well-being. The first book it was mostly the MMC helping the FMC deal with her demons but the second book they both help each other through trauma. The major issue I had with this book was that the FMC did a 180 personality change in the second book. I mean, yeah - her whole life changed but I still feel like you don’t go from ice queen to sunshine in a day! Plus, all characters in this book need serious therapy after what they went through!

This Duet was absolutely amazing in my opinion. I loved everything about these 2 books. The flow of the words, the characters, the emotions, everything!

Gah! This duet! It's everything! I went through all the emotions- every last one- while reading this. The first book ended in such a cliffhanger, I waited on pins and needles and was so anxious to read the second book. Martinez was so masterful in telling this story- you feel every hope, every despair, every heartache that Porter and Charlotte feel. Several times I gasped out loud- the story is that epic. It's absolutely a must-read and already holds a spot on my Best of 2017 list.
