Well shit. I didn't know it was a novella and not a stand alone. Dammit! I'm going to quit reading free books! It seems like this happens with every free book I get. So frustrating.

I liked this well enough. The writing was good and I didn't hate the characters. It held my interest and I was entertained throughout. However, I don't feel compelled to complete the series.

I was provided a copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review. First off let me say that I absolutely cannot wait for the rest of the series to release. This book was an incredible start to what is sure to be an amazing series. The beginning starts with Angel finding Luke near death, outside the gates of what she has always known as home. Once she brings him to reside in her "community" the reader is take for a roller coaster ride. Initially Luke is suffering for amnesia, gradually he begins to remember little things about his past and who he is. However, Tess leaves her readers questioning which is safer the truth or the unknown? Readers beware you will be left with your jaw dropping when you reach the end of this first book!!

I liked it and enjoyed the relationship between Luke & Angel. I really like Angel. She is sweet and kind but not a naive push-over. However it was too short. I know it is a part of a series but it actually felt like only half a story. Kind of like the author wrote a story then just chopped it in half to make it 2 books.

I am impressed by Angel and Luke's relationship in this book. As Dreygon continues to drag them into his his world, testing their bond, they never fail each other. Luke had a few secrets from Angel, but that doesn't change that fact that she loves him.

In the face of Luke's lies they still cling to each other and try to save each other and have no other concerns except for each other. I am incredibly proud of them both and how they have handled themselves. They deserve each other so much.

I would like to thank the authors for sending me this book in exchange for an honest review.

This evening I was bored; I couldn't get into anything. After starting several books and giving up, I found my way into this one... I didnt stop until there was no more and now I MUST have Book 2. A great read, action, drama and some adult fun thrown in. Sex, drugs and rock & roll - this book is perfection.

I am a huge fan of Tess Oliver's Custom Culture series, so I was excited to get a copy of this new book from the author to read for a review. This first book of her new Barringer Brothers series was a good start to this story. In the beginning, Luke "Reno" Barringer is lying in the desert, barely aware of how he got there, with no idea of who he is and without the strength to get up and move. Angel rescues Reno and brings him home with her to the compound she lives at with her grandfather and other members of his motorcycle gang. Once they get inside the compound, Reno and Angel have to wonder if she has really rescued him when Angel's grandfather reacts badly to Reno being in his home. Reno must remember who he is and how he got to the desert if he wants to avoid further harm. Over the days at the compound, Angel and Reno begin to develop feelings for each other, despite his memory loss, and Angel's grandfather working against them. The Custom Culture books felt more developed, and the characters more believable. However, this story ended with a cliffhanger, so with this being a small piece of the overall story, I will definitely wait to read more to see how this story goes. I still really enjoyed Angel and Reno's characters and have a feeling and each story continues, so will the development of their love.

A copy of this book was provided by the author in return for an honest opinion.

Book 2 picks up straight where the first finishes. Luke (Reno) knows exactly who he is, all amnesia is gone. Angel is sure that life is so much better now she has Luke in her life but she has no idea what he did in Reno before the attack. This book is exciting, violent and sometimes edge of your seat. Life is deteriorating on the compound, getting more unpleasant with each week. A great second instalment.
