I was super annoyed at how long the audiobook took to start. The forwards and intro and EXPLANATIONs of the upcoming chapters was a flashback to freshmen year of college when I was convinced the longer I made a paper, the better.

And I was super annoyed when some of the upcoming chapters the author described basically sounded like “what I did on my summer vacation.”

But the problem was me. I bought the book based on the cover. I thought this was going to be a typical evil person encyclopedia that all true crime aficionados are probably familiar with. Like, chapter 1: Mengele - a bio of him and his atrocities. Chapter 2: another monster doctors… etc.

It’s…when I pulled my head out of my ass and trusted the author’s process…it was a POWERFUL friggin book.
