This felt like Season 8 of GOT. Was it the likely outcome for Paul? Yes. Did we deserve way more story on how he got there? Absolutely. Main characters from Dune turned into side characters and plot devices. We don’t understand the decision-making of virtually anyone. We had new characters introduced for….???? Oof.

Slow, tons of spoken dialogue with the back 1/8 having things happen. I wasn’t engaged. I also felt like he took the Bene Gesserit power from something powerful and mysterious in book one to laughable and weak in book two and am really unsure why.
