I did not expect that I will like so many books about art. And even if it's just this book containing words it was so easy to be able to see how exactly the art mentioned in the book will look like. The story is great, maybe a bit so much happens in one go like in the books but still it was an amazing story about finding yourself again and finally facing who you want to be and accepting that maybe not everyone will like who you are but the right people will always love you for an exactly imperfect version of yourself.

AAA this made me so emotional <3 I really like the kind of book that makes me reflect on the way I live life :') the only thing that made me a bit annoyed was how annoying Jude was for a bit in the middle of the story lol other than that, it was lovely!

nice little plot twist, love the reconciliation & connection. very sweet & love how it deals w/ loss, anger, remorse & how to heal relationships. didn't enjoy the weird age gap between the twin sister & the brit guy.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHGH I CANNOT PUT MY LOVE FOR THIS BOOK INTO WORDS. I’m literally using every little neuron in my brain right now to type out these stupid sentences. These characters are so alive, I feel like I know and love them like a bestfriend. It’s like we’ve laughed and cried together and sending them off when I finished this book just crushed me. I wish I could read this forever, embed myself in the pages. I wish I could create art like this -writing or painting- but that means I haven’t learned shit from reading this. It doesn’t matter if I’m good, it doesn’t matter if I’m shit. I’m probably both at once. In the beginning I was so attached to Noah, I felt that he and I were too similar, then comes along Jude and it’s that same feeling a second time. Never have I felt like this twice in one book. It’s a quarter to one and I’m having a full blown crisis. Usually I assign a song to every book I finish but I don’t know anything that’ll sum up this experience (I STAND CORRECTED LOL)

Song:
  • Lost It to Trying - Son Lux
  • this is me trying - Taylor Swift

It would have been an amazing book if it weren't for several problematic things I couldn't ignore. I usually don't write reviews but this book left me full of anger and disappointment.

So here are some of the things wrong about this book:
- female MC's sexual assault was hardly acknowledged
- ending felt rushed and there were so many things that needed to be talked over and resolved, it felt utterly unrealistic how everything was suddenly perfect
- and the biggest problem of all is this so called "relationship" between a MINOR (16F) and an ADULT (19M), such relationships should not be condoned and I was so disappointed with how it turned out that it completely ruined everything I previously liked about this book
