This book! ‘Summer of Thrills’ by Ellie Isaacson is one of the Summers in Seaside series. It’s labeled as “romantic thriller” AND BOY, WAS IT EVER! Stars 6/5 + Spice 2/5 + Thriller 4/5.

I ate this book up in only TWO DAYS even with my chaotic life. So many times, I thought I had this book figured out. Mysti is written as someone even I would hang out with. She’s a hard working woman who things she’ll never find love again. Trenton is our brooding love interest who dropped into her lap unexpectedly. Once we get more in depth into who Trenton & John are…you start to wonder if it’s actually hiding something more menacing. Any assumption you make about these characters, I can promise you’re incorrect & in for a SHOCK! I didn’t want to pull away for even a second. There are twists & turns around every corner & yet, you feel wrapped up in their community & want nothing more than to be a part of this group. Incredible read & I’m so delighted to read the entire set!

Holy buckets, Batman. I'm not going to lie, going through about 3/4 of the book I was so dang lost I didn't know if I would end up liking this one.
BUT, hold out for that ending folks, because it made it all worth it.
This one is full of twists and turns and is definitely more in the psychological thriller side of things. Which I wasn’t expecting, but ended up loving!
I'm totally new to Isaacson, but a good friend and fellow reader put me onto this new release and said she loved her reading, so here I am! I will definitely be picking up more of her books in the future!
There are 14 books in this series of interconnected standalones by a variety of authors. I believe this will be the 2nd release out of the 14, so there's plenty more to come from the Summers in Seaside Collection!
