In the first chapter, the main character gets stalked and then beaten in an alley, while the male character attempts to rape her. Her magic helped but that was just too much for me. I was looking forward to the mature main character. I am disappointed.

The world building was so cool! And I liked the love interest werewolf (which I like in general), but really struggled with the characterization of the 40 year old main character. There was a number of times that the decisions the character made seemed out of character but was used to move the story forward.
