This may be my favourite one so far. The relationship father-son explodes and it gets to a critical point where all the cards are revealed. I like how he becomes less the figure, more the viltrumite.

After Volume 2, I pretty much knew where this was going, but I really liked the way it played out and how Kirkman used it to set up what's inevitably going to come next. Good fun comic-book stuff right here!

In the third installement of Invincible they flip the whole story on his head. Everything I'd tell would be a spoiler. But I can say that the the mood and the art get a lot darker with this book.

i just don’t know what to say. this is so brutal and just heart wrenching in a way that i haven’t experienced with a graphic novel/comic series before. the violence is so outlandish but beautifully done. you can’t help but sympathize with mark and his mom. god, i just am at a loss.

These stories take your average superhero story and turns up the heat. This mature take on superheroes is a fun adventure. Definitely would recommend to comic book lovers!
