Really took me by surprise, especially in the last quarter. I had no idea how attached I'd grown to the characters, particularly Yuki, who feels like a very real (though strangely well behaved) small child. I was just as gutted as Diana at the end.

I didn't think I'd have much interest in her romantic storyline, and Porter seemed pretty unimportant at the beginning, just a vehicle to explore her fear of intimacy, but I became invested in that too, and I could find real pleasure in their ending together.

An emotional journey.
