One of the most disappointing "romances" I've ever read. I get that there are more books in the series... but nothing about this was romantic.

This book is also a good reminder of how badly women and girls lose out in diet culture. There were so many characters judging one another on bodyfat % and how much they ate, or patting themselves on the back for being disciplined around food. Such a sad way to live.

The fat shaming in this book made me uncomfortable.

Malory Towers for grown ups. Nice, easy and cosy. However, strangely fatphobic. Of a time I suppose!

This was a quick, lighthearted read. The author has some clear fatphobia though.
