I continue to be impressed by how distinct the characters are in this series. I’m always happy to see Riza Hawkeye! We see a reunion I was surprisingly looking forward to in this volume. They’re definitely building to a final battle and this might be the first manga series longer than 8 volumes that I actually finish.

I have to admit that I didn't care for this instalment quite as much. It wasn't bad - but it didn't stand out. I find with this series I'm either blown away or kind of 'meh' about each volume. There's a lot of set up here as everyone gets organizes for the finals few chapters in the series - necessary, but not exactly the most fascinating things to read about.

There was also a really long battle sequences in this issue which I thought dragged on and was all over the place. Normally I'm really into to the action scenes in this story but this one left me wanting more.

Excited for volume 22 though!

Pride possesses Al’s body so that he and Gluttony can take on Ed. However, the unexpected alliance between Ed and Greed proves to be a force too hard to overcome.

Great battles in this volume. All of the good guys are making some really positive moves which just makes me more worried that we’re going to experience some big losses very soon.
