Rock Chick Revenge was a good book. I liked it a lot, especially the last 20% of it. If those 20% weren’t there I don’t think I could have handled it. You know that kind of book: the plot is nice, the male MC is great, the female MC is great…for about 15%, yeah that kind of book.

I liked Ava at the beginning of RCR, I really did. She was cool, not very sure of herself but not in an annoying way and well, she knew Luke but then at some point during the story she went from cool to bitchy. I do not like women who give mixed signals to men. When you start seeing someone you go with it, you don’t pretend it’s not happening when you damn well know it is really happening and go out with another man. And be all like: “It’s okay Luke, nothing happened, we’re just friend”, umh bitch please? If Luke had went out with another woman, would you have been cool with it? I do not think so. Well yeah, this is me getting bitchy with Ava.

I mean you know, I get her in a way but what she did with Ren was not cool. Even if she was freaking out about her and Luke (which every heroine from this series seems to do…) she didn’t have a right to go out with someone else and flirt with that person. Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t like that kind of heroines. In the other books, another man was interested in the heroine but she wasn’t the one who made the move, she didn’t go out with that man or anything, you know? It’s not the same.

What I mean is, I did not like Ava’s attitude at all. She pissed me off, firstly for what I just say about Ren and her but also because she was a bitch. She pushed Luke away for so freaking long for, I’m sorry, not very good reasons. She was lucky, she got better toward the end, (she got better after a big drama, might I add, it made her think right for once) and I’m so bummed because I liked the new Ava. She was once again cool and funny and less annoying but yeah, she got there way late!

Lucas Stark, wow. Kristen did a good job with him. Totally the most alpha of the alpha-men pack. I loved Luke. Such a good guy, I didn’t know what to think of him at the beginning but after some time, I could see that he was a great guy with a big heart. He knew Ava since she was 8 and he was 12. They were neighbors and friends. Back then Luke was Luke hot, he didn’t change much but Ava did, a lot, at the time she was chubby, wearing bad glasses, bad hair (her saying), with two sisters who were and still are the biggest bitches on earth, a mother who was not much better and a father who was nice but left. Luke disappeared for 8 years at some point, reappeared for his father’s funeral, that’s when they saw each other again. And in present time in the story it’s 5 years later when Ava go to Luke for help. Like I said, Luke has a big heart. Ava always saw herself so out of Luke’s league because of the way she looked but Luke always thought that Ava was beautiful, he always liked her.

I’m sorry I got a bit carried away with the “Luke has a big heart” thingy.

So yeah, Luke was a good hero. Sure he had his flaws but that’s what made him even better. I must say though that he pissed me off too at times. Like the time with Jules, I was pissed with Ava, but then we learn the reason behind the situation and all was good. Still, he still pissed me off at other times. He didn’t always handle the situations correctly but fortunately he made up for it. Luke, like all the others within the Hot Bunch, was a very patient man. I don’t know how they do it, especially Luke.

Tex was there obviously, still the same, still fucking awesome and fun. Everybody was there as well, of course, and I love them all more with each book. Some really nice things happened for some secondary characters, like a pregnancy, a wedding, a proposal… I liked it a lot! It’s so nice to be able to continue to read about the other couples and see them happy. I thought the addition of Olivia was hilarious and very well done. Shirleen has always was the bomb. Sissy is the new one in the group (Ava’s BFF). Oh and very important: the Zanos. Dom and Ren and Uncle Vito. I know Ren will be with Ally at some point and I cannot wait to see this! Dom was a big douche but at the end I couldn’t help but like him.

The plot was good not very intense and scary (apart from one scene ugh…) but it was nice and the relationship between Luke and Ava was so full of… everything (?) that it took a good place in the book, you know? So, not my favorite book of the series, unfortunately, but not the baddest one! The last 20% were really really great so it helped a lot. I am looking forward to read Mace and Stella’s story but I am a bit scared because it seems that Stella is a bitch or something so… yeah, I don’t know what to expect, I don’t think that KA can do worth than Ava or the others but… thinking about it, pretty sure she can actually.

Luke is some HOTNESS!!! Ava, while getting a bad rap from other reviews I've read, really demonstrates our insecurities as women all the while continuing this fabulous story!

This book was OK. I really enjoyed it, but in my opinion not as good as the first book.

Ava was just too annoying for words, I don't like indecisive people, i especially don't like when they chose to convince themselves the wrong decision is right while knowing it wrong. Oi! see what i have to deal with? ANNOYING!

I have to say though I found Good Ava hilarious, she should be written as a full character.
