I can't believe I have to wait until October to read the next volume. That's the worst thing about this volume: that it ends.

Marko and Alana face some very realistic relationship problems. Alana takes a job as a tv actor while Marko stays at home with Hazel. There is a smash nosed home wrecker that you will absolutely hate.

As usual, Saga features lots of crazy weirdness, including crazy weird sex scenes. That's why we love it though, right?

2.5--but only for lying cat's sake.

Sooooo, I struggled with this one. I get that the honeymoon phase doesn't last forever.

Truly, I do.

In fact, this is quite possibly the most accurate depiction of marriage that I've ever come across in a novel.

What I don't get is how Alana and Marko have reverted back to a high school level of maturity seemingly overnight. I'm just not buying it. Don't get me wrong, I understand how two people might find themselves in similar situations, but their attitudes? Bitchy/self-absorbed and depressing/pathetic?

I'm really hoping that this volume is simply an anomaly, and not representative of subsequent novels. Like, we can move on now that we've gotten the relationship drama out of the way, right?

It just wasn't a fun read.

And to top it off, this volume lacked the depth and organization that volumes 1-3 had. By comparison, it seemed chaotic and messy.

Now I get to go to bed angry. BAH.
