Good lord text-speak is awful. Do people really use that level of it? The 'blog' itself is written in reasonably grammatically correct English (thank god), but the comments are more like... i lyk it wen ppl rite lyk this! sum1 toll me it wuz kewl! It takes more time and effort to type like that than it does to actually spell out words, and I pretty much gave up reading the comments when I realised they were all going to be in text-speak.

A couple of things that I'm not sure I picked up on when I first read this in 2011: it seems quite odd that Meg should a) use her username to define herself by the sister she already feels inferior to, and 2) call herself 'sistrsic' when, at the time she begins the blog, she doesn't know her sister has an eating disorder. (Or is it meant to mean that she's sick of her sister? Unclear.) For the most part the 'blog' feels far more like a private diary than a blog...I know some people do spill all, but gosh, she's free with other people's private business on this blog. Makes it feel less believable than it might, I guess. Oh well.

Sistrsic92, written in blogs, was not so great.

While, I respect that the book discusses some rough topics, it did not seem well executed. Normally, I enjoy a story with an important issue as the focus, it's good for the YA Readers. It was hard to follow at times, and seem a bit unrealistic. I understand that everyone reacts to things differently, but this just seemed like too much. Though, I do believe a younger audience, 12-15 years old, would gain a lot from a book such as this.
