Stunning and inspiring.
This is the best use of color, composition and storytelling in comics I might have ever seen.
There are times, especially near the beginning, where all the characters expressions are exactly the same. So if a character is mad they look :| and if a character is bawling or something, they also look :| - that is my ONLY complaint, and it's not a big one.
Dean hits a stride about half way in and it doesn't let up until the end. The panel layout is amazing.
Looking forward to her future works, if she keeps pumping out books like this she's going to be huge some day.

Beautiful artwork but not a great story. The pictures are worth the read, but don’t expect more than that.

The art was really cute. I enjoyed the musical tie ins. I thought Miriam and George’s love story was nice. The author just tried to fit too many short story lines into this book. I would have cut a couple out or focused solely on Miriam and George. I also don’t know if I truly know what this book is about. It could be making commentary on the the 1960s or the way music affects our lives but the message and meaning was kind of lost on me. I feel a bit disappointed because I built this up so much in my head. But not every graphic novel is going to be AMAZING. It definitely kept me turning the pages.

I loved the art style, my favorite collection in the short story set was “baby fat”
