This book is ideal for ages 5 years old and up and it is an important read. It is the story of Carrie Chapman Catt, one of the leaders of the movement to give women the right to vote. It is a complex story but the author does a wonderful job of bringing the story to life in a way readers young and old will understand. The illustrations are beautiful and add a lot to the story. Not only the illustrations of the characters but the coloring of the pages and the way the words float off the pages. I would read this book to young boys and girls. Even though it is the story of girls becoming more equal with voting, boys can learn from this book also. The theme that you should never give up what you believe in in an important message for any child.

I would recommend this book to everyone! It would be great to read in schools as children learn about suffrage and inequality. With all the changes happening in the world and especially the US right now with laws changing it is important for boys and girls to know they can stand up for what they believe in
