Za mě asi nejslabší kniha od autorky. Byla skvěle propracovaná jako ostatní, ale prostě tomu pro mě něco chybělo..

Completely unpredictable, every-time you think you’ve worked it out the next chapter proves you haven’t! Thrilling, captivating, amazing.

This was okay... I hated all the characters and that usually deters me from enjoying content, if I can’t find at least ONE character to root for. (Somehow only Seinfeld has broken through that barrier.) The ending wasn’t terribly shocking and they revealed it very slowly so when I found out what happened, I didn’t really get that satisfaction of a twist or a big reveal. It was like, okay yeah, that makes sense.

Quick easy read! Enjoyable but not a major turn like I was hoping for.

Another “listened to while working” read. A fairly average thriller with major “rich people are crazy” vibes. This dragged in the middle to the point where the reveal of the killer felt anticlimactic because we spent so much time on irrelevant events leading up to the end.

If you ever feel about not being close to your family or about not having millions...read this book!! What a messed up family!!! The siblings turn on each other until the last minute...I had no idea of who had killed the parents until everything was being laid out. Unfortunately, money can bring the worst on people. I really enjoyed it and would recommend to my friends.

The premise of this book was interesting to me - the rich family with complicated dynamics theme is always a fun one, but this ultimately didn't land as I thought it would.

The story begins with a brutal murder of a wealthy couple in a tony New York suburb, with the three adult children each set to gain an inheritance as the main suspects. Unfortunately, I didn't feel it built out much from there. There was a lot of circling around each of the Merton children and discussion of *why* they were suspects, but it ultimately felt repetitive. There were no truly redeemable characters and little background, which in these kinds of stories can really help to develop interest, and without that this fell kind of flat. I had a hard time with the narration as well. As a plus, the chapters are quick and there is suspense, so this is a quick read.

This was my first read from this author and it seems like she has a great fan base, so perhaps this just wasn't for me!
