Yay! A satisfying conclusion! All is well in the bobiverse.

Book 1 was about Bob and his sense of identity.
It was about the impending doom to Earth and Humanity.

Book 2 was about exploring the universe and making meaningful connections with non-bobs.
It was about the impending doom to the entire cluster of star systems.
It was also about how Bobs are becoming saviors but in their own way, glorified babysitters to the entire civilized world.

Book 3 is about Bobs regaining their sense of identity.
We see growth of Bob as a species where they can now stand against all the previous foes and still come out of the fight alive.
We see how the interpersonal interactions with non-bobs, or as it is more common to say now, ephemerals, are changing Bobs at an individual level.

I love the ending of this book.
There are so many unanswered questions but still there is a sense of completion.

Eagerly waiting for the next book.

The only major short coming I can think of this series is the limited character variation. Having different human perspectives would improve the series I believe. Even the non-bob characters are almost entirely European, having some African, Chinese or Brazilian perspective characters would have been interesting.

I don't have that much to add to my previous reviews as this trilogy should probably be regarded as a single book. However, in this last part it felt like Taylor had performed all the tricks there were to perform in the previous parts and nothing new happened. While I previously commented that I found the dullness of galaxy-management actually exiting, in this book there was no new intellectual challenge, no new things to wonder about. The main point of this book was to end the series, but because there were só many ends to tie up, most of them, including the big "others"-climax were actually pretty boring and anti-climactic.
While this book was a fine, clean ending to the series, it did not live up to its predecessors.

These were such fun books. This one brought the culmination to so many story lines as well as with a good imagination of what was to come.

weakest of the books. won't keep reading on number 4. it wraps stuff up, but it gets scattered and fails to really keep you invested.
