Conflicted feelings about this one. Very well written, Welsh can definitely capture a particular feeling very well I just find a lot of the subject matter quite difficult. Also he has some bad views himself which is tricky.

An oddly funny collection of depraved/fucked up/grimy short stories. Not sure how they're structured in other editions/publications but it felt like the stories gradually became more fucked, perfectly ending it with the novella "A Smart Cunt", which was one of my favorites. There's some heavy Scottish accent throughout, specifically "A Soft Touch" and "Disnae Matter" which thankfully I read in Bulgarian because I felt like I was deciphering an unknown language. If you like Trainspotting and morally twisted narrators, this will be right up your alley.
