This was such an enchanting story, woven in half truths and myth.

Isla is plagued by headaches which bring upon visions of a this man, Rhys, whom she connects to more than any man she’s ever met...but the truth is, she’s never actually met him. And these visions are from 500 years ago...a time when a there is political turmoil between England and Wales with Henry the Vlll upon the throne.

When she finally comes face to face with the man from her visions she has to put together was is reality and what is just a dream. And how does modern day Rhys connect to the one from her dream like past?

There’s a modern medical research aspect to the story that was really fascinating and ties in a paranormal aspect which as a fantasy fan I found compelling.

Part based historical fiction, part based in the now...the longer I read the more pulled into the story I became. The mix of historical fiction and modern day is perfect for fans of Susanna Kearsley and Amy Harmon as stated!

I’m so glad that this is a series (didn’t know that until I finished...haha) because I can’t wait to complete the story. This is a romance but has lots of bits and pieces that create a very well rounded story!

What a unique take on time-travel, immortality & re-incarnation all tied up with a beautiful romance. I loved how the author split Rhys and Isla Belle’s story between two time periods, the 1500s and the present day. It was so fun to see their story unravel and piece it together. I was totally hooked on this book from start to finish!
