I just loved this story, had to wait but it was totally worth it. Rebel Heart was everything I was looking forward to.

Talk Bout Twists and Romance

I listened to book one as an audio book and then I went to KU and found book 2- I was not disappointed with book 2. I have to admit I want to know about Lauren and Elliot, he’s such an arsehole and this will inadvertently tell us more about Rush and Gia.
I loved the twists and turns and I also hated them, I had moments I wanted to delete the book but I felt so invested in this couple I wanted to know more. I totally thought when he went to Pats funeral and saw Beth that Owen was going to be his son however I have to admit I was super glad to find out Owen was only 6 and couldn’t possibly be his.

Good story

I enjoyed the conclusion of this angst filled romance. Rush and Gia's story was a shocking, heart wrenching, loving story that had me rooting for a happily ever after.

This book picks up exactly where Rebel Heir stops. Gia has just discovered that the father of her baby is none other than Rush's nasty brother Elliott. Not realizing that Gia is pregnant, Elliott just loves reminding Rush that he is having his sloppy seconds but of course, Rush then knows who the father is and this could just be one step too far. This is emotional, funny, full of angst and very steamy and most importantly a HOA for almost all!!

This was a fantastic read. The story continues where Rebel Heir left off. I thought this book was better than the first book because it ended perfectly. I loved the characters. Gia and Rush demonstrate the ups and downs of their relationship in this book more so than the last book as they deal with their feelings, a pregnancy and everything else in their lives. Gia is independent and mature in this book. Rush is trying to come to terms with his baggage. I thought we saw a more vulnerable side to his character in this book, which I loved. I love Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward as individual authors, but their writing together is incredible. Overall, an amazing read.

Listened to audiobook at work.
As I stated in my review of the first book, not my favorite Vi Keeland but it had its moments. I’m kicking half a star for Rush’s waffling back and forth on his relationship with Gia. His feelings for her had already been established and it felt like filler and quickly got old. I wish there was more with the revealing of the baby’s father. The reveal was anti climatic with how built up it was.
