The Midas Touch: World Mythology in Bite-Sized Chunks by Mark Daniels

A *very* brief peak at some of the main tenets of world mythology. It doesn’t touch on large amounts of the world (nothing African or Russian for example), and what it does touch on seems to be a gross over simplification, based on the ones I do know about. Having said all that however, what is there is easy to understand and does provide a pretty basic grasp of things.

Leitura interessante, que reúne ícones da mitologia de diversas partes do mundo. Porém, é um livro bem básico mesmo, não se aprofunda em nenhum assunto. Senti falta de mais ilustrações.

I really enjoyed the book, it fulfilled its role to the point. It is fast paced and it gets you out of a reading slump. I also got intrigued about the different mythologys and will definitely read more along the lines.

The only critic I have is that sometimes the sentence structure was off and I had to re read the same line to get the intended meaning.

Overall a great book and I'm excited to learn more about different world mythology!

Super simple, informative and oddly making jokes at times. Would recommend for someone who would like to get into mythology but doesn’t know which one to start reading about, since it gives you a taste of each and you can decide which one is most interesting to you. This book goes over Norse, Greek, Roman, America’s, China and Australia.

Don’t rely on this for detailed stories, they’re just very basic summaries, I’m sure the real stories are way more rich and enduring.
