Flower Fables is the type of book little girls' and boys' dreams are made of - adventure and travel and good and evil and fairies, lots of fairies. This collection of stories, originally told to Ellen Emerson (Ralph Waldo Emerson's daughter), transported me back to childhood and let my imagination run wild.

I listened to this to fall asleep with The Sleepy Bookshelf podcast. It did the job and was very calming.

I love this book. So so much. It is a lovely little collection of shorts, all telling of the good deeds done by the fairies of the flowers. Elves and Spirits, Kings and Queens, Roses and Clovers, Birds and Butterflies β€” nature spirits dwell all around us. β€œFew are the mortals to whom we give this lovely gift;” But, if you can learn to look and listen, you will find them, in the sweet melody of songbirds and the sweet scent of the flowers.
