Trying to get back on her feet, single mom Addie is barely paying the bills. It just so happens that her soon to be brother-in-law’s brother, Toby, seems determined to help her out anyway he can: shoveling snow, hanging Christmas lights, dropping off groceries, helping out with her son when she needs it. Too bad he doesn’t like her like that, right?

This was pretty enjoyable. The main couple is together by 30% and then they are just dealing with a lot of family drama. Learning to communicate and be together, something they fought for a while because Addie’s sister and Toby’s brother are in a relationship. This felt a little more steamy compared to the average KA novel. I didn’t like this as much as The Hookup, it dragged a bit in some fluffy scenes and there was a lot of 1 yr old baby dialogue. This takes place a lot at Christmas and there is classic KA domestic fluff/found family.

While Lance Greenfield did fine, Stella Bloom slayed this on audio.
