i’ve gotten whiplash reading romance novels, esp dual pov ones but…wow. i still have a headache. steamy for sure but i didn’t particularly like olivia or carter. and some of the writing just…wasn’t great. but i had low expectations. would have loved this as a political thriller w romance i think.

Okay so the last half redeemed this book from a 1 star rating. I was seriously debating about dnfing at the 25% mark. But like a bad wreck I just couldn’t look away.

First off. It’s bacon. Not meat candy. Who the hell calls bacon meat candy and especially that often!! Second. This was the most awkward forced grumpy sunshine I’ve ever read.

I know Olivia was supposed to be a spoiled rich girl but I found my self in disbelief at the very simple things she didn’t even know what they were called. Like a bank teller.

There was a weird amount of mentioning of the sheep poop throughout the book. Like. Yes. It’s a sheep farm. Why are we talking about the poop multiple times a chapter?

I just. If you want a good cringe book this is it especially the first half. The second half gets more serious and is easier to digest. Still difficult but not an oh my god what am I reading kind of way.

I just. I don’t know what to say about this book other than if I never see the words meat candy again I will be happy.
