I listened to this on audiobook, narrated by the author Amy Morin and it was absolutely wonderful! Inspiring stories of strong women used as examples for each of her "don'ts" on the list. I recommend this for every woman. It's a hard look in the mirror and offers an opportunity for self-reflection and growth. Highly motivating!

There are tons of better parenting books out there. I recommend The Self-Driven Child or the Whole Brain Child which are actually based on brain science as well as peer reviewed research. There is a lot of toxic advice in here.

Highly recommend this read to ALL parents. I love how it broke down strategies to use for each age group; there is valuable information and useful strategies for each one.
This is a book I'll be reading at least biannually.

Excellent to help with raising kids. It dawned on me as i was reading this, we are pretty much 75 percent or more responsible for shaping the internal thoughts and therefore actions of our kids, even as adults. Yea I already knew we played a big part but this book brings it home. Since you dont get a manual when you bring kids home from being born, this is probably one of the closest things to that!

Boy did this book resonate with me. Yes, she pulls from a lot of other amazing authors to substantiate her statements - but it gave me a reading list to go to. I can’t believe how much I want my girls to understand these 13 statements, along with the 13 from her first book.
