An interesting little tale from Audible, cleverly narrated by the amazing William Jackson Harper.

Wally Roux always has his nose stuck in a book and is working hard on things no one else around him seems to notice. Especially when he moves to a new city and there seem to be some odd-happenings that can only be explained by a hiccup in the fabric of space and time, for which Wally is the only man for the job...Or is he? Wally soon discovers that space and time might be a bit too big for him to handle alone and that maybe there's someone else out there tinkering with things, too. A very imaginative portrayal of one boy's quest to understand the world around him.

This book had a lot of great pieces to it, but the absurdity of the story was mentioned so frequently it kept me from suspending disbelief. I found myself questioning everything the main character did (i.e. whether or not it was realistic) and that took away from the tale. I also expected it to be a sci-fi, but there was no science in it really. It was all fi and no sci.

Wow! I was blown away.
Even though the duration of the audio book was quite less, it managed to tell a story and conjure up so many emotions!

An audio book which truly gives you an immersive experience. The narration is absolutely brilliant, helped by the brilliant sound design.
Would have loved to listen to a longer version of such a story ❤️

This was a good story, that covered some difficult issues, one being interracial adoption. It has a 'sliding doors' feel to it, thanks to the time-space travel element.

If you do not like Dad Jokes, do not read this book.
If you do not like John Scalzi, do not read this book.

I happen to like both so I thoroughly enjoyed this novella!

It is the story of 14 year old Wally Roux who had moved from New England to the Deep South and deals with culture shock, being adopted and coming of age...plus Quantum Mechanics with a dash of the multiverse. This hit hard for me because I know that culture shock. When I was 10 I moved from the Deep South to the Pacific Northwest.

Highly recommended, unless you do not like Dad jokes or John Scalzi.

This was another of those free audible original audio plays. It was fine. Definitely better than Life Ever After. I liked the concept of the multiverse and fixing rips in spacetime, but otherwise it was a pretty standard coming of age story.
