4.5 Stars. This was such a charming story that totally swept my heart. Being a musical theater lover, the plot captivated me from the beginning, and while not super original, Christina Lauren wrote the story in a way where you totally fall in love with the characters, their romantic journey and all the social awkwardness and humor disappeared throughout. My only negative was the classic trope at the end of the novel where the characters need to give each other several months of space to "figure stuff out." I find that this time apart takes the conflict to an extreme and there was very little reunion time at the end to see the happily ever after (literally 5 pages). Also, I really wish there was an epilogue as there are so many questions I want answered!!!! Still, this book was amazing and I'd recommend it to anyone.

3.5 stars I found this book had a slow start, but once I got to know more about the characters I enjoyed it!

Cute little romance. Nothing earth shattering here but if you are in the mood for a fluffy tale of true love set around a smash Broadway hit this is the book for you.

I liked this book a lot. It was such an easy read and I have to say that I did dislike Holland just a little bit. That’s just my opinion though.

4 stars because I love a fake marriage/forced cohabitation story; the plot moved along, and the characters are easy to read. Lol when I say that this is Hozier fanfic, I mean it in the nicest way possible. An extra star simply because when I realized this and told my friends it made us laugh a lot and that kind of friend hilarity made my day! But minus half a star because the whole "tink" vs "think" in the dialogue was fine the first time but got a little cringey after about the 3rd time.
Final score: 4.5 rounded up to 5 stars

While this book was a bit of a departure from what I'm used to reading when I pick up a CL book, I found myself really loving the difference. I found it to be more of a women's fiction book than a romance, but it still had the trademark CL chemistry between the couple. I really felt for the heroine. It was clear that she is a person that truly wants to take care of the people she loves. I loved her Irish guy, though I do wish there'd been less "telling" of their relationship and more showing. As for the other characters in the book, I'd just like to say that CL did a brilliant job making me despise the "bestie". I had to put the book down every time she was in a scene. I'd just get so angry. Of course, that is the sign (at least to me) of a well-written book. My emotions were 100% involved in this story. I would really love to read more about all of the characters in this book!

A sweet and fun story. The characters were quirky and just the kind of flawed I love to read about. I enjoyed that Roomies was a bit more practical regarding green card marriage than most marriage of convenience stories I've read in the past.
Sexy, sweet and endearingly awkward - Roomies cements Christina Lauren as one of my go to authors for a fun contemporary read.
