This was a well-written, well-conceived story. The ending was a bit rushed, but overall enjoyable. I definitely would recommend it to 4th or 5th grader.

It took me a while to complete it, but I liked the story and the writing style. I had a feeling it would be anticlimactic as a kids book but it was really good. its my second time reading it. would 100% recommend

What a fantastic story. Picturesque. Dark. Riveting. Molly and Kip venture into a world having lost their parents. They must trust beyond their sibling ties and battle the darkness. For brave older middle grade readers and beyond. (For future fans of Stephen King.)

Fun in a dark, spooky, told-around-the-campfire manner.

I’d call this slow burning Victorian/Gothic for kids. It was a nice little story, but for what it’s worth, neither of my kids were interested enough to listen with me more than once.

Such a good, scary, creepy...yarn of a story. HIGHLY recommend, but for age 12+.
