80% of the women in this series drop everything to let geralt hit as though he's not consistently described as stinky and rude and unwashed with a face like cheese. extremely funny form of misogyny i must admit

Same as the Last Wish, there are some good short stories and some not good ones. The last two short stories were the best in my opinion but overall this book was fine. Just fine..not good but not bad.

«You're more than that, Ciri. More than that.»
All I can say is that i feel like I'm entering a new decade with (what could become) a new favorite series of mine between my hands.
It was, to put it in just one word: poetic.

I enjoyed this more than The Last Wish but I really wish theses were in chronologically order because I get confused trying to follow the timeline and Yennefer and Geralt's relationship. I'm really looking forward to a more linear story in the next books! s
The Bounds of Reason - It was interesting to see Yennefer again and I want to know what Geralt did.
A Shard of Ice - Yennefer and Geralt's relationship is so complicated, I don't really understand I really wish I knew more about how they got to where they are. I don't think I like I Yennefer I get that they are sorta immortals and their relationship is complicated by their magical dispositions but
Eternal Flame - This one was interesting, I like the world-building and I liked the character of Dainty Biberveldt and I though the problem with the doppler especially when the doppler was doing everything to survive and be safe, I felt so bad for Dudu.
A Little Sacrifice - That was one sassy mermaid! I love that she wouldn't change for the guy and they had to fight through Geralt. Geralt getting angsty over Essi annoyed me. Essi and Geralt were kinda cute but he still loves Yennefer (tho I have yet to figure out why)
The Sword of Destiny - Ciri, and Geralt were really cute together.
Something More - I really don't understand Yennefer and Geralt's relationship, I don't understand how they are "made for each other" all they seem to do is fight, have sex and break up.
The Bounds of Reason - It was interesting to see Yennefer again and I want to know what Geralt did.
Spoiler
I should have guessed that they would find a golden dragon because Geralt said they weren't real lol, and it was cool that the golden dragon can transform into anyone. but it sad that Yennefer was willing to kill the magic beast to have a child.A Shard of Ice - Yennefer and Geralt's relationship is so complicated, I don't really understand I really wish I knew more about how they got to where they are. Spoiler
that still doesn't make cheating ok and it's fucked up that Yennefer 's other lover making Geralt feel like a monster. And it's made even worse by her running away like a coward at the end.Eternal Flame - This one was interesting, I like the world-building and I liked the character of Dainty Biberveldt and I though the problem with the doppler especially when the doppler was doing everything to survive and be safe, I felt so bad for Dudu.
Spoiler
Chappelle also being a doppler was an interesting twistA Little Sacrifice - That was one sassy mermaid! I love that she wouldn't change for the guy and they had to fight through Geralt
Spoiler
tho in the end she did, I don't like how women are written in these storiesSpoiler
find out that she dies 4 years later and still in love with Geralt, hurt. The Sword of Destiny - Ciri, and Geralt were really cute together.
