This book will most likely be the best read of this year. It's not my favourite read of the year, but damn, what a book.
Everything in this book feels unexpected. The main characters (Sadie & Sam) are both unlikeable, but this makes the book real. Everything in this book seems so real. It's a heartbreaking story that encompasses a lot of themes, but it's potentially one of the best books I've read in my life.

It's a novel about relationships, friendships particularly and it's fantastic. This was eminently readable and I buzzed through it quickly. The characters and story arc feel relatable and you connect with them readily.

so so so good
I honestly almost gave up after the first chapter. the prose felt a bit overbearing in some parts, and the perspective felt annoying. I’m really glad that I read it so late so I knew how much other people enjoyed it.
the descriptions were still sometimes a little much, but the characters more than made up for it. really beautiful story
