This book is so heartwarming and swoony. I love the sense of community and the fact that Joe is a single dad trying to handle things all on his own just makes me want to give him a big hug. His ex wife is a piece of garbage and doesn't deserve to spend a second with her kids. I love that Joe stands up for Maren in front of her brother and isn't afraid to admit his feelings for her when confronted.  I love how Maren seamlessly fits into Joe & his kids lives. These two deserve to live happily ever after.

My heart ❤️

I loved this book!

Maren Laughlin was proposed to by her boyfriend, but she declined and left her job as a park ranger to return to her roots in Northern Wisconsin and accept her inheritance.

Josiah Cole, who is a single dad to two kids, handles everything by himself. However, when Maren takes on the project associated with her inheritance, it alters the dynamics for both of them.

For Maren and Josiah, things seem to flow naturally. The question is, will it endure, or will family complications arise?

The most highlighting and annotating I did for a book

Thank you NetGalley and St Martins Press for this arc in exchange for an honest review!

This was a really sweet and heartfelt lake side romance about a former YouTube nature/fishing content creator and a single dad (who is also her brother's best friend). I always enjoy book set in a lake town but I appreciated how much the lake and the surrounding nature were incorporated into the story. I want to visit this lake so badly!

This book was really real in the challenges the two main characters faced. But also in how they chose to tackle those challenges together. I especially loved how the MCs were communicative and honest with one another, no third act break up here! Their ability to navigate their challenges with their family (particularly their siblings and ex-wives) were refreshing. Joe the MMC was particularly great about supporting and not speaking for Maren, the FMC. The side characters and the banter the MCs had with them were amazing.

Overall, a great read! Can't wait to go back and read the other books in the universe about her two friends.

Catch and Keep is like a warm hug and trip down memory lane. The books starts with Maren rejecting her boyfriend’s very public proposal, leaving her job, and escaping to her family’s childhood summer vacation spot in Northern Wisconsin. Maren received an old apartment and bait shop on the waterfront and decided to renovate it while she figures out her next steps. We are quickly introduced to Maren’s older brother Liam and his best friend Josiah (Joe). Joe is a divorced former Marine who has full custody of his kids and has moved back to the lakefront resort to take over the day-to-day management from his parents. Maren’s summer at the lake will change her life forever. If you like single dad, older brother’s best friend romance, Joe is the guy for you. It was beyond easy to fall in love with Joe because of the love he has for his kids but watching him fall in love with Maren was magical. There is slow burn romance (how else can Joe see Maren as something more than his best friend’s little sister), a not so great ex-wife/mother, and some light stalking references (not the MMC). If you have ever spent a summer at a lake as a kid, Catch and Keep will immediately transport you back to those summer days and will leave you feeling happy (ever after).

Thank you Netgalley and St. Martin's Press for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Catch and Keep by Erin Hahn is a really adorable contemporary romance centering around Maren, a former youtube star who has a passion in fishing, and Joe, a single father and Maren’s brothers best friend. Maren moves back to her hometown after receiving a building in a family friend’s will. She works to rebuild and model the building for sale while also reacquainting herself with Joe and his family.

The plot of this story is absolutely adorable and I found myself hooked. Once I got about 20% into the story, I read it all in one day. The story is unique, but also follows the template of a normal contemporary romance, which I enjoyed. The characters were relatable and easy to follow, and Maren was a strong and realistic female character, which is something I am always looking for. I really enjoyed reading this book.

Overall, I would give this book a 3.75/5 stars. It was a really fun read and lacked a third-act breakup, which is kind of a pet peeve of mine. It was unique and cute. I would recommend it to any romance readers out there and am planning to now read the rest of the series, which I had not read before starting this one. I am a new Erin Hahn fan!

I really enjoyed this book! By the second chapter, I was completely captured and couldn't wait to finish the chapters. I almost didn't want to finish the chapters it was such a great book! Seeing Joe and Maren's relationship blossom throughout the story was really sweet, and I love the way the author adds real-life words and scenarios to the pages. It sounded like I was having a conversation with my own friends.  I mean we all know that they'll always be together by the end of the book (it's always that way)  but it was such a great build up and execution. I'm excited to read more books by this author!
